The objective of this training course is to enable participants to:

To incorporate the principles of cardiac resuscitation into the framework of The Chain of Survival
To recognize when to do Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in Adults, Child & Infant
To perform CPR independently on Adults, Child and Infants
To use Automated External Defibrillator (AED) confidently and safely
To recognize the early signs of Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) and its management in Adults, Child and Infants

This Basic Cardiac Life Support with Automated External Defibrillator (BCLS + AED) course is mainly meant for Healthcare providers, Non-healthcare providers who are identified to be BCLS providers & Members of the public.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for Basic Cardiac Life Support with Automated External Defibrillator (BCLS + AED) is Assumed skills knowledge: ESS Workplace literacy and numeracy level 4 and above.

Validity Of Certificate

Certificate validity for the Occupational First Aid course & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation + Automated External Defibrillator (CPR + AED) is 2 years.

Module 1– Heart Attack & Sudden Cardiac Arrest
Module 2- Adult/Child/Infant CPR
Module 3 – Adult/Child/Infant Conscious to Unconscious Choking
Module 4 – CPR AED

BCLS + AED MCQ – 80 %
Practical Assessment – 100 %
